Bartering Since 2008?!

Wow, I think I've been photographing families since 2008! It's a barter--I photograph the families for free and the parents allow me to use their children's images in my artwork. Recently I had the urge to review my images since I had some favorites from some of these photo sessions. I hope I had captured the person's spirit in the photograph. I always tell the families that I'm not a professional photographer so they get the images unedited with no special effects.

Another guardian image that came to me during the guided meditation was Reina. She is queen of the north.

Pink always reminds me of spring and Japan's season of cherry blossoms/hanami. This image came to me when I was participating in the Artists' League-sponsored guided meditation workshop on Tuesday night, March 20. I asked the guardian for her name and she said Angelina, namesake of my niece!
