Where Am I?

I am in a "Palm Tree" painting by Ron Yrebedra. Dr Y is retired professor of Art Education from FAMU. He is well know for his variety of "Palm Tree" paintings.
More practice with Photoshop: Stroke, Fill, Transform by Perspective, Curves

Swamp Spirit

Here's more Photoshop practice: trying out the Levels, Layer Style and Burning tool.

Which World?

Which world would you like to be in? Ron Yrebedra's world or the real world of St Marks National Wildlife Refuge?

Copying and Paste Into

My co-worker, Ed Babcock, who is a talented photographer (www.edwardbabcock.com), generously lent me his book, Photoshop for Windows and Mac, for me to read and learn. So tonight, I've been practicing copying and pasting into. What fun!

Happy Chinese New Year! 2-7-08

Gung Hay Fat Choy! In honor of this Chinese celebration, I created a "wai sik meow" portrait of my niece, Gigi, because she loves to eat, like all Chinese people all over the world! Hey, Anne Geddes costumes her baby models. Why not do the same with Photoshop?

St Marks Wildlife Heritage and Outdoor Festival

Me at the AAS booth

Dr Elizabeth Platt, president of AAS

Yesterday, I had my first card sale to benefit Apalachee Audubon Society at the St Marks National Wildlife Refuge. I received good positive feedback on my work and met a few nature photographers. Charlie and Mary Donahue stopped by and bought 4 cards, including 3 Fairy cards! Many thanks for their support! You can see Mary's wonderful art work on her blog: www.maryedonahue.blogspot.com.
My next card sale, again to benefit AAS, will be at Wakulla Wildlife Festival on April 5, 2008. See you then!
